We already talked about the credit part and how to get a free upgrade at TS25 with it. (see part 2 of this 5 blogpost about TS25)
Today we are going to go deeper on their credit system and how to use it for traffic to your link.
Part1: Where to look for credits.
Same as in post 2:
You can find you credits in the tab "Traffic & Credits", where you go to the traffic manager part.
You will see two sections there:
- Personal account
- Merchant account
You also will see the arrow with transfer and the auto assign account(when you are a silver member).
Part 2: Transfering credits for use of traffic
The credits we will be using for traffic must be in your "personal account".
If you want to use the credits that are sitting in your "merchant account" for traffic we need to transfer them.
This is where that arrow with the word transfer (the one that stand after "merchant account") comes to work.
It transfers the amount you want to change from "merchant account" to "personal account".
Click on it and you will go to the transfer credits page.
Here you will see:
- #Credits
- From
- To
and another button that says transfer
This doesn't need a lot of explaining, fill in the amount you want to transfer at "#Credits" and click the transfer button
Part 3: Add a url of choice
Before we can assign credits to get traffic, we need to set up an url where you want to send it to.
We are going back to the "Traffic & Credits" tab.
Here you see a blue arrow that says: "Add a URL"
Click on it and it will take you to the "Add a url" page off course. :-)
Here we can see 5 important things:
- Nickname
- URL
- Category
- A large text about what sites are not allowed
- A button saying Add this URL
First read the text and make sure your site isn't in violation with these terms.
Is it okey then check the box in front of: "I Agree that the above URL (Website) conforms to these rules"
Now we gonna fill in the rest of the form:
Nickname is the name you want to give to your link, for example: "My TS25 Reflink"
Then we need to fill in the URL (it needs to begin with Http://): "http://www.ts25.com/index.jsp?ref=rcdesign"
As last we pick the correct category: (since i do TE's and PTC just for fun i picked this one) "Entertainment"
But don't worry it's a pretty big list with some category's for almost every kind of site.
Click the button saying "Add this URL"
There you go your URL is added to the list.
But it could be a framebreaker or have other scripts running on it that block or slow down surfing in TS25.
So you need to validate it at the "Traffic & Credits" tab.
When you go over there you will see:
- The nickname of your URL.
- If it's already validated or not. (if already validated a green v will be available)
- The URL itself
- Assign credits (will explain in next part of this post)
- Edit (if you want to change the link or any other detail. It will require you to validate it again after editing)
- Remove (Hitting this will be a no return action it's gone for ever. assigned credits will be returned to your "personal account".
To validate just click the image in the validating part and it will open in a new window and do some checking.
If it passes the test it will be available to set credits at.
Part 4: Assigning credits to the url
Now that we have our url set we want to get the traffic coming
Click on assign credits behind the link you want to promote.
It will take you to the page where you can assign visitors to your link.
1 Visitor will cost you 5 credits from your "Personal account".
Just set the amount of visitors you want to get.
Also set the max visitors/day or your credits could be gone in 24. (with lots of not unique visitors)
Now hit the "Assign Credits" button and watch the visitors come to your site.
At advanced you can also set some extra settings but i think it's pretty much explained well on the page.
Hope this helped you get those first visitors to check out your site.
Have a nice day and please come back soon for the refering part of the 5 blogposts about TS25
